The Franklin Johnston Group is seeking a mid-level Compliance Specialist to join the team at a large multi-family, multi-financed property in Lauderhill, FL.  Minimum 5 years affordable housing compliance experience.

POSITION: Compliance Specialist
REPORTS TO: Compliance Manager
Individual in this position should have a minimum of 5 years experience working with the Low Income Housing Tax Credit Program and hold an Affordable Housing Certification such as HCCP or equivalent.  Strong organizational and computer literacy skills are essential to this position. Excellent verbal and written communication skills are also required.

•         Review applications and determine eligibility for the affordable housing program.

•         Manage resident re-certifications, rent increases and utility allowances.

•         Complete annual/quarterly/monthly compliance reports as required.

•         Prepare for and attend LIHTC audits performed by state agencies and investors.

•         Provide and coordinate training for site staff.

•         Must be able to prioritize and manage a wide variety of tasks

•         Ability to work well under stressful conditions

•         Must be prompt and dependable

•         Able to work with minimum day to day supervision
